LearnFinity — learning without limits
My most ambitious build yet: a platform concept to make quality learning infinitely accessible. Not another course graveyard — a place where progress is real, paths are personal, and knowledge compounds.
The Big Idea
What if learning felt designed for you?
Every learner knows the pain from the other side: scattered resources, one-size-fits-all courses, videos that assume too much or too little, and progress you can see but never quite feel. Education’s problem isn’t a shortage of information — the internet is drowning in it. The shortage is structure, guidance and honest feedback: knowing what to learn next, why, and whether it’s actually sinking in.
LearnFinity is my answer, under construction in public. The name is the mission: learn + infinity — learning that scales to anyone’s curiosity, schedule and starting point. It draws on everything I’ve lived: the study systems that earned four excellence awards, the teaching methods that work on real students, the web craft that shipped Handy Tools, and the AI toolkit that can now personalise learning at scale.
The Roadmap
What’s planned
Building in public means the roadmap is honest: some of this ships on schedule, some learns better manners and ships late. All of it ships.
Guided learning paths
Structured journeys through web development, programming and AI-era skills — each path a sequence of concepts, practice and checkpoints, designed the way I teach one-on-one: no leaps of faith, every step earns the next.
Interactive exercises
Knowledge without practice is entertainment. Quizzes, coding challenges and real mini-projects — with instant, specific feedback instead of a red X and silence.
Adaptive pacing & AI assistance
Using the models and agent patterns from my AI development work: a tutor that adapts to your pace, explains things five different ways until one lands, and never, ever sighs when you ask again.
Progress that compounds
Streaks that reward consistency (not cramming), portfolios that prove skill, and a space where learners help learners — because teaching others is the deepest form of learning, a truth I live by daily.
The design philosophy
Three principles govern every decision. Concepts over content: no topic exists in isolation — everything connects backward to fundamentals and forward to real use. Honesty over hype: progress metrics that reflect understanding, not time-spent-flattering-yourself. Access over polish: lightweight, fast, usable on modest devices and connections — a lesson learned from shipping Handy Tools to the whole world.
And one quiet conviction underneath: the best learning platform should feel less like a classroom and more like a good teacher — patient, structured, and personally invested in you.
Why I’m building it
Because I’ve stood on both sides of education. As a student, I felt the gap between “taught” and “understood” — and bridged it with systems I built myself. As a teacher, I’ve watched those systems transform students who’d been told they were “weak”. LearnFinity is those systems, scaled — so the next student doesn’t need a lucky tutor; they just needs a link.
It’s the biggest thing I’ve ever attempted. Which is exactly why it’s the right thing to attempt next.
Want to follow the journey — or shape it?
I’m documenting LearnFinity’s build in public, and early feedback from learners, parents and teachers is gold. Tell me what a platform like this must have for you.
